Korbin @ 9 months

So I am a little behind since Korbin is now almost 10 months old. But here are his 9 month pictures taken by my wonderful sister Megan (Check out her photography blog on the right -Megz Corner-..she does cute stuff!).  Anyway.. these pictures turned out super cute and I had a hard time limiting the pictures to the cutest ones..
This wasn't posed. He did it all on his own. :)

There was soo many more cute ones, but I figured people probably didnt want to see every single picture :)  So this month he has been a productive little boy.  Still no crawling but he is getting better and better. He gets up on his hands a knees and doesnt quite know what to do, so he just falls down.  He has also started getting on his hands and feet, but has the same outcome.  So we are getting there! He loves loves loves to roll..he now directs his path by moving his arms and turning. His new favorite thing right now is to clap his hands! It is soo cute! Everytime I say "Yeah!!" he will clap, or even at soccer/basketball games and others are clapping, he will clap also.  He is super proud of himself.  I am trying to teach him how to wave, but I have to be careful on how I wave so he doesnt think milk is on its way! (sign language) He absolutely loves his jumper and the roller thingy..he could do both of those all day everyday! He is in love with tags.. hint hint (Collette I will pay you to make me a tag blanket for Korbin)..He loves to chat and has now started talking with his tongue out. Funny! He is still an excellent tongue clicker, I am always amazed at how he learned how to do that soo early! He has now gotten too big for his car seat so we had to buy new car seats to have rear facing.  At his doctors appt here were his stats.. (Even the doctor said the length must be wrong..guess I should measure him myself)  Weight-23.66lbs (87%) Length 29.25 (77%) Head 18.3  (80 %)  His length went from 99% to 77% and his head went from 51% to 80%.. either he has changed big time, or the lady didnt know how to measure.
He got his first two teeth in. The first tooth came in the week before he turned 9 months and the second tooth came in the week after that. It is his two bottom teeth. Now we are waiting for the others to come in..we are okay with them taking its time because he HATED getting teeth.
Towards the end of the 9 month mark he had to move from 12 month clothes to 18 month clothes. He is going through them too quickly! I can  barely buy them in enough time for him to outgrow them! Below are some pictures from this month.
I always seem to find him rammed up in the corner when he takes naps.
One day he managed to get the bumper over his head and he jammed his head against the wood posts..you can see the indents on his head! Silly kid!
He started actually picking up the pieces of food and putting them in his mouth. Before he could only pick them up. Now he can feed himself! yay!
Here he is rolling around..he was rolling so much that he wrapped himself up in the blanket.
Sucking on the tag of his toy.
He is getting stronger and can stand against something. Here he is rooting for ReAL! This is a 24 month outfit.
Here he is in his roller.. one of his favorite things. He can only go backwards and in our small kitchen, it doesnt give him much room, but he likes it anyway.
Below this post is another post, so check it out if you are bored!

Easter & Cousins

So of course my last time of working Sunday mornins was on Easter Sunday. I was pretty bummed that I missed Korb's first Easter, but I realized that I didn't really miss much besides him looking at his basket.  I got off work at 2pm so I still got to help him with the Easter Egg hunt at my parents, and that was a lot of fun.  I was impressed that Korb would actually grab the eggs.  Of course he didnt want to let go of them and would grab them out of the bucket once I put them in.  It was fun and very nice.  We even managed to get a cute Easter picture.  My mom would always take a picture of us in our new Easter outfit by the rock, so I thought it was fun that Korb got his taken there also.   Luckily Steven remembered my directions to take some pictures of Korbin when he looks through his basket.  The pictures turned out cute!

My two handsome boys! Love them!
He refused to let go of the Easter Eggs!
My happy family
COUSINS GALORE!!
So the day before Easter we had a request to get all the young cousins together to get some pictures.  Some of the cousins know each other pretty well like Korbin, Makayla, and Leah.. but they don't know too much about Landon and Logan.  Of course they are all still super young, but it was fun to get them together and take pictures.  As you can see through these pictures..Korbin and Makayla are best friends and love rolling around with each other. It will be crazy in a year or so when they are all running around screaming! Oh boy! What have we gotten ourselves in to!?  So the age range is Korbin 9 months old to Landon 2 months old (so they are all within 7 months of each other!)
Makayla and Korbin just doing what they do best!
And yet another one of the things they do best.. tackle each other.  Makayla and Korbin are one month apart and spend almost everyday together.
Left to Right- Leah (6 months old), Makayla (8 months old), Korb (9 months old), and Logan (4 months old)
Leah, Makayla, Landon, Korbin, Logan
Here is the age chart. Korbin 9 months, Makayla 8 months, Leah 6 months, Logan 4 months, Landon 2 months.
The moms and cousins.  We are all in the Randy/Sylvia Rounds family except for Brianne who is in the Raymond/Cindy Rounds family.  Me, Leslee, Rachel, Brianne, and Casandra..and babies.
They were supposed to be posing for a picture.. little terds!
We all thought it was funny how you could tell the age gaps with them. The two oldest were sitting up on their own, goofing aroun..the next two were starting to sit up, and the youngest was just sleeping. Cute kiddos.

Free Stuff!

Well I decided the other week that I wanted to try to start doing the couponing that you hear about everywhere..and many people do.  I tried to do it a little on my own, but I didnt really understand all the coupon language so I asked my sister in law if I could tag along with her.  So yesterday we spent a good 3 hrs going from store to store getting free stuff.  I didn't have a lot of the coupons she had, and I wasn't near as prepared, but I did score big and I am pretty impressed with myself!  We stopped off at Walmart and they ended up giving me $4.05!! ha ha.. wow! A few things weren't on sale, but I wanted to get anyway so that is where I actually spent money.  I am now a little more knowledgeable and I think I will do even better next time!  Thank you Leslee for helping me learn a little more about using coupons!
I spent a total of $15 for everything above. Yay for coupons!!!

Anniversary, 5k and ReAL game

How about a flashback?? This picture was taken when we were dating 5 1/2 yrs ago. Awe..so cute :)
Yesterday was our 5 year anniversary! We made it!  People say that the first few years are the hardest, and if that is the case..life is going to continue to be amazing.  Our first few years have been awesome, with little stress.  I feel like we are pretty lucky to have each other and understand each other so well.  For our anniversary this year we didnt do much.  We went to go see The Adjustment Bureau.. which is awesome might I add! My parents wanted to come join us, so it was a fun little outing.  I think we are going to really celebrate it on our cruise which is in less than one month!YAY!! We have thought about getting a massage on the boat, but mostly we will be able to relax, have fun, and have little to no worries.  We are both extremely excited about that!
A little about why I love Steven.. He is the most caring, loving person I know.  He would do anything for me and his friends and family.  He has strong values which help me become a better person.  He is the cutest dad I have ever seen and you can see his love for that little boy in his eyes.  He is athletic and pushes me to want to be more active.  He doesnt judge anyone.  He is a hardworker. He is a funny, sarcastic guy.  He loves me for who I am and doesnt want to change me.  And well I could go on and on, but I am sure you have read enough ;)  But he is wonderful and I am extremely grateful to have him in my life forever and eternity! Happy 5 years babe!
Golden West 5K

So on March 26th was the annual 5K for the schools (Golden West 5K).  I always get excited to sign up for them, but once the day gets here I always wonder why I wanted to do it in the first place! Anyway, This past month or so I have been trying to get into a little better shape so I have been going to the gym, so I had hoped that the gym would have made it less miserable for me.  Unfortunately I quickly realized that running 2 miles on a treadmil was completely different than running on the road.  My normal running partner wasnt able to do it this year, so I ran with Leslee most of the way.  The sad thing was that Devin (Leslee's husband, my bro in law) was pushing both Korbin and Makayla..who arent the lightest babies, and ended up beating me by a good 3 mins.  I ended up running the last mile or so by myself because I had to stop.  Anyway, I had my best time so far in the 5K's I have done, which isnt really that good.  But I was proud of myself and as always, I will do it again next year.  Here are some pictures of the gang.  Also of Korb and I (with my red face) at home after the race.  He did really well and just enjoyed the ride. Oh and did I mention that it was freezing out there?! Burr.....

ReAL Salt Lake game!
So this game was the same day as the 5K so it was a pretty busy day for us.  Rachel spent the whole day in SL standing in line to get us all tickets, and then waiting for us for about an hour outside in the freezing cold.  We had planned to leave the house about 30 mins before but Grandma had forgotten she was watching the kids.  Anyway, we ended up getting there on time and we got to enjoy every minute of the game.  Wow, that game was soo amazing! We got to sit at the upper deck which Steven and I hadn't been to before and it was awesome up there! We were away from the rain and got to see everything.  It was a lot of fun to go to that game and it was fun that we got to hang out with some family (Ryan, Rachel, and Leslee, Devin)!  And it seemed like our luck or shall I say bad luck followed us..the guy directly in front of Steven stood almost the whole game, even when there was nothing happening so Steven couldn't see unless he stood up..which he wasnt too happy about. I understand that you gotta stand sometimes, it was an awesome game, but really? The entire time?!  Anyway..Thank you Rachel for spending your day off standing in line in the freezing cold! :)

Just a random picture of Korb and I before my soccer game.  I thought it was soo cute I just had to post it! :) I love that kid!

Going Private

After much deliberation I have decided to make our blog private for good.  I took it off private because I thought people weren't reading it, but it is now more for me and if people read it than that is a bonus.  My blog helps me keep track of when my little one does things like roll over, eat baby food, stuff like that.  Anyway, I am going to make it private soon so if anyone does want to read our blog and has not already given me an email address then please do.  The more the merrier!  Sorry for the inconvenience, but I would prefer my life not be public to everyone anymore!

Korbin is 8 months old!!

This little kiddo thinks he is about the funniest kid in the world, which I would definitely have to agree with also.  He is always doing the silliest things!  He is now 8 months old, well he will be tomorrow.  He has not learned how to crawl nor does he have much desire to crawl.  He is happy just laying there and playing with his toys.   He has improved with his crawling though, he is now putting his knees under his body but that is about as far as it gets.  He loves to stand and bounce and flap his arms as fast as he can.  He has a few favorite toys like a little yellow ball and a mirror, and of course his girraffe!  He still eats anything and everything! He can drink well with a straw.  The other day he wanted my drink and as I was drinking it he grabbed it out of my hands and immediately started sucking on the straw..luckily it was just powerade and it was almost gone, but I seriously couldn't get it away from him.  That kid has the strongest grip I have ever seen!  He loves his naps and seems to get excited when I put him down for one.  He enjoys his dog and tries to pet him.  He loves saying "da da" all the time and also "dad"..no interest in saying anything else besides his made up words.  He loves to talk and yell.  He started to click his tongue this month and it is pretty darn cute.  He also started making his mouth into a tiny circle, which of course he thinks is funny!  He started splashing in the bath this month also.  Boy oh boy that kid gets crazy!

I have everything!

On my way home from work on Wednesday a song came on my Ipod.. "I could not ask for more"  As I listened to the lyrics I realized that it was basically talking about my life.  Yes, I have heard this song soooo many times  but it hit me this time, I do have my dream life!  I used to get caught up in the "I wish it was...next year, or next month!" And finally I have reached the point in my life where I don't wish my time would fly by, I love my life!  I may have taken a few bad turns but I am so grateful that I am who I am now.  I do have everything! I have an amazing and wonderful husband who is hardworking, loving, funny, and well just plain amazing! I have the cutest, funniest little boy in the world who continues to amaze me each and every day. That boy is one of the happiest little boys I have ever met and I am so grateful that I have him!  As much as I say I hate my job, I am grateful for having one, and for them working with me so I can get the shifts I need.  I am soo glad to be done with school, even though I don't have my dream job yet, I know one day I will get it and it will be awesome.  I love our house, the location and the backyard!  We are totally spoiled because we have everything we want like a huge tv, nice cars, plenty of clothes, we go on many cruises, take a lot of vacations, and get to spend a ton of time with our families.  Which brings me to another thing I am thankful for..I absolutely love my family, both families for that matter! We have so much fun with them.  We are lucky enough to have our bests friends be in the family and spend many weekends playing games and joking around with them.  I know that some families aren't as close or as lucky as my family and it makes me extra grateful to have the family that I do.  I am also grateful for the fact that we don't owe money for anything or to anyone but our house..that is a huge accomplishment and something we have worked hard for and are proud of.  So in my eyes, my life is perfect!
Thanks for coming to our blog! We hope you enjoy reading about our life and please leave a comment so we know you stopped by!!
