Lately my posts have been about Casidy and I haven't been focusing much on the other two so I wanted to do a quick blog on their happenings lately.
Korbin started preschool and soccer this past month. He enjoys preschool and I have already noticed a change with him. He enjoys doing homework and working on writing his letters and he is more aware of his surroundings. He has fun meeting his friends at school and seems to enjoy his teachers. As for soccer, well he just loves it. In fact, he loves it soo much that sometimes it's all he can talk about. He talks about it all week and once Saturday comes then he wants to wake up and go play right that minute. Its cute, and just plain awesome! His first game was soo much fun, I was about the proudest mom ever! He spent the night before throwing up and being sick but he insisted on playing soccer the next morning. He ended up scoring the first goal of his first game of the first season. He was soo cute!! He scored two goals that game but then started feeling sick again and wanted to go home. The second game he was on cloud 9. He was sooo excited to play and it didn't help that Grandma and Papa Shaw were there to watch. He was so excited they were there that he couldn't concentrate on the game itself. It was so funny. He ended up scoring a goal but he was definitely a little sidetracked that week. He loves talking about cruises, loves playing mario and other games on the wii and ipad. He adores his dad and often cries during the day because he misses him. He loves his "friends" or as we know them.. cousins. This kid is the sweetest and we love him!
Aubree is our wild child. Of course she is two so that helps the issue. She keeps us on our feet at all times. She has been working on being potty trained since May, since she decided she would not wear diapers anymore. She does well for the most part but we are still working on it. She is obsessed with Umizoomi and we have to watch it about 23 times a day.. She is good at getting things herself and always wants to "help". She is concerned when anyone is hurt and she has a sharp memory, she doesn't let you forget anything. She is loud and fun and also a daredevil. She enjoys coloring especially on anything that isn't paper. She is a terrible napper but sleeps great at night and she loves her juice.
I cant believe how grown up my kids are. I often look at them and think how they are even mine! Time has gone so fast its hard to believe. I love being their mom!

Korbin's 4th birthday!
Our little boy is now 4! Where has the time gone!? Korb had a fantastic 3rd year which consisted of going on his first and second plane rides, meeting family in Illinois, going on a "big boat", swimming in the ocean for the first time as well as play on the beach, got another little sister, and got his own room. He is such a sweet boy that doesn't like to let anyone down, especially his mom and dad. He has a heart of gold. He is our funny boy who has the same personality as his daddy. He loves to play on his own with cars, but he also loves to have friends play with him as well. He loves kicking the soccer ball around the house. He is a great napper still and takes up to 5 hr naps. He is smart with electronics and loves to play his Lego and racing games. He is a great big brother and an amazing son. We love this kid so much!
His birthday started out going to the airport to pick up Daddy (he had a work trip). Then we got to go to City Creek and eat/play on the toys. He got to pick out a toy at the Disney Store. His family and friends all came to celebrate with us in our backyard. He had a great time and wanted his friends to stay all night. He loved all his presents and got super spoiled!

Enchanted Treehouse
This past Monday was the Enchanted Treehouse. Korbin and Makayla both have a membership to the Treehouse so they were invited to a special event. The kids got to dress up in their halloween costumes and play at the Treehouse. They also had story book characters walking around the whole place.. of course Korb was scared of most of them so we didnt get any pictures. At the end they gave the kids a little goodie bag. Here was our day...
Superman and Tinkerbell to the rescue!
Burrr... its cold!
Riding the horse.. last time he was there he was sooo scared of it, and now he will sit on it! Yay!
Their favorite place.. the music area.
King Superman Korbin!

Korbin is two!!
Length: 36 5/8 in (100%)
Weight: 31 lbs 5 oz (85%)
Head circL 48.8 cm (55%)
My big boy is offically two now! I feel like I need to stop blinking because next time I blink he will be 18 yrs old! Korbin is doing really well.. we are learning colors, numbers, and letters. He likes to say everything is blue before he even looks at it. His ABC song is pretty cute as well. His favorite word the past few months is "No".. even if he means yes, its always a no. He thinks it is quite hilarious when he says no. He is a dangerous kid who isnt scared of much except for showers, and the moving toys at the malls.. weird I know! He enjoys the thrill of fast things like slides and cars/bikes. He likes to jump not only on the ground but off the couch. He is starting to be able to help more with clothes and shoes and putting them on or taking them off. He is obsessed with milk!! He probably asks for milk 9 times a day (at least).. I have a hard time telling him no because it is such a good habit for him to have, so he almost always gets the milk. He is talking a lot more and loves to talk to strangers. He is a funny funny kid that always makes me laugh. He loves being outside, he loves swimming, and he loves going on walks. He is a great sleeper at night and during nap time.
Korb had a great birthday.. we started the day with a #2 pancake which was harder to make then I thought! Then after nap time we went to the splash pad to celebrate his day with family. He had a blast playing with his cousins! He got super spoiled by all his presents and yummy treats. We had to go get a free slurpee on his bday (7-11) and I hope to make it a tradition each year! That night he got to play with his toys and then go spend time with Grandma Rounds.
Here are some pictures of the past month:
Now for his bday pictures!

Korb is a big 22 months!
Ohh how crazy life is! My once little boy is now almost two years old! He is a ball of energy and would go go go go all day, everyday if we let him. He absolutely LOVES going outside and will entertain himself almost all the time. He is such a social butterfly.. he loves kids, even kids that are 5+ years older then him.. if they will play with him he will be the happiest kid on the planet. He always wants to go up and talk to people, always says "hi" to strangers. He loves his 99 cent sunglasses and will wear them for hours.. its one of the cutest things! He is getting good at talking and copying what you say.. he loves his animal sounds and loves to "sing" the ABC's and Twinkle twinkle little star. He has a special place in his heart for his Daddy and he just loves him to pieces. I absolutely love watching them play together. He loves the school bus that our neighbor drives and he looks forward to seeing it every day. He is an awesome eater and eats everything..even things that aren't food ha ha. He also started getting his bottom molars in this past month (finally!) and we are looking forward to them coming all the way through so he doesn't have sore gums anymore. He is a super dare devil which will probably result in a broken bone or two in the next few years. He loves water in any form (except to drink it).
This month he got a new baby sister and I am happy to say that he is soo sweet to her. He loves her and is very soft with her. He knows who she is and will come up to her and say hi or give her an air kiss. He doesn't bother her too much and he doesn't seem jealous of the attention she is getting. He is a really good helper and always gets her binkie or blanket for us (even when we don't need/want it).
We love this little boy and he is such a sweet big brother. I'm glad that he loves his little sister and I know he will take care of her when they get a little older. I love Korbin's sweet spirit and his goofy attitude.

Korb is 20 months old!
This month I apparently slacked off on taking pictures because I have very few of them. I do know that my camera was dead for part of the month and I was quite lazy to actually go buy new batteries, so I will use that excuse! Nothing too new to report with this kiddo this month. He continues to learn new words and new animal sounds. He still LOVES to sing and its extremely cute when he does because he closes his eyes and moves his head back and forth (like he see's on tv). The weather is finally getting nicer and he is getting major spring fever. He never wants to come inside and throws fits sometimes when we come in. It makes me super excited for the summer because I will be all for him going in the backyard and playing! He gets the chance to play with a few of his cousins on a weekly basis and loves it. If its the big kids then he loves trying to be like them and do what they do, if its Makayla (1 month apart) they just like to do everything together and from what I hear.. it usually consists of some good messes! He is a smart little boy and is very good to clean up toys and help mom and dad. A few weeks ago we told him to put his spoon in the sink, so he went over and put the spoon in the sink, we cheered for him and then all of a sudden he had a bunch of toys in the sink. He didnt quite understand that it was just for dishes. This week I found a car in the disposal! What a silly kid!
His sleeping pattern has been off this month (still). No more teeth, they are just sitting below the gums just cause torture to all of us.
The sink of toys...just one of many times..
Korb trying to be like big cousin Kyla as they watch cartoons. Cute!
Not wanting to come inside.. no shocker there.
After bathtime all bundled up with Daddy!
This past month we also started going to the Ogden Treehouse. We got a membership for $20 off so we thought it was the perfect time to get one. We usually get to go with Makayla and those two have a lot of fun. There are still some things that scare him (the lifesize cow..the horse), but he loves the freedom to do anything there. Its a lot of fun and so far I am glad we got the membership. He will have a lot of fun this year.
Korb being cautious of the mule.. not sure what to think!

Big boy bed!
So as you all know we are expecting another baby in a few months! We didn't want to buy another crib just to have Korbin go to a toddler bed a few months later, so we decided to slowly move him to a toddler bed. We wanted to do this well before baby #2 comes so he didn't feel like it was because of the baby. Also, my belly is getting so big that it is hard for me to get Korb in and out of the crib. So the first of January we got his toddler bed up from the garage and put it in his room. We told him what it was and for the first few weeks he was just able to play on it and get used to it. One evening he was being awfully quiet in his room (which is almost never a good thing) so I peaked my head in and he was laying on his bed with a blanket over him "reading" a book. It was probably one of the cutest things I have ever seen!
The next day I caught him in his bed again laying down. So that night we decided that it might be worth a try to see if he could handle the big boy bed. We asked him which bed he wanted and he ran to the toddler bed. We did our usual night routine and then tucked him in for nite nite. We fully expected to get up about 6 times that night and just finally decide that he wasn't ready and put him back in the crib. Well the morning came and he hadn't woken up once! Not even one time!! We thought maybe it was a fluke so the next night we were expecting not to get much sleep, and once again..he slept through the night. He has now been in the toddler bed for about a month and he absolutely LOVES it! He does wake up sometimes and gets a little scared, but he is usually good to go back to sleep when we go in there. In the mornings he often plays in his room for a little while before I hear him. He is good to stay in his room until I come in. As for nap time.. we haven't tried that much. He still sleeps in his crib during nap because he has a hard time naping during the day when he can get up and play with all the toys. I think in another few weeks we will move him to the bed during nap, but there is no rush right now. The switching beds went so smoothly and I know that we are super lucky to have such a good little boy that made it easy on us! He looks soo cute in his big boy bed and absolutely loves it. Grandma Shaw made him a new quilt for his big boy bed as well as a pillowcase to match. Its super cute.
One of the times he was laying in his bed. This is cute because he is pretending like he is asleep.
Night number one of Operation Big Boy Bed!
