My kids!

Lately my posts have been about Casidy and I haven't been focusing much on the other two so I wanted to do a quick blog on their happenings lately.
 Korbin started preschool and soccer this past month. He enjoys preschool and I have already noticed a change with him. He enjoys doing homework and working on writing his letters and he is more aware of his surroundings. He has fun meeting his friends at school and seems to enjoy his teachers. As for soccer, well he just loves it. In fact, he loves it soo much that sometimes it's all he can talk about. He talks about it all week and once Saturday comes then he wants to wake up and go play right that minute. Its cute, and just plain awesome! His first game was soo much fun, I was about the proudest mom ever! He spent the night before throwing up and being sick but he insisted on playing soccer the next morning. He ended up scoring the first goal of his first game of the first season. He was soo cute!! He scored two goals that game but then started feeling sick again and wanted to go home. The second game he was on cloud 9. He was sooo excited to play and it didn't help that Grandma and Papa Shaw were there to watch. He was so excited they were there that he couldn't concentrate on the game itself. It was so funny. He ended up scoring a goal but he was definitely a little sidetracked that week. He loves talking about cruises, loves playing mario and other games on the wii and ipad. He adores his dad and often cries during the day because he misses him. He loves his "friends" or as we know them.. cousins. This kid is the sweetest and we love him!

 Aubree is our wild child. Of course she is two so that helps the issue. She keeps us on our feet at all times. She has been working on being potty trained since May, since she decided she would not wear diapers anymore. She does well for the most part but we are still working on it. She is obsessed with Umizoomi and we have to watch it about 23 times a day.. She is good at getting things herself and always wants to "help". She is concerned when anyone is hurt and she has a sharp memory, she doesn't let you forget anything. She is loud and fun and also a daredevil. She enjoys coloring especially on anything that isn't paper. She is a terrible napper but sleeps great at night and she loves her juice.
I cant believe how grown up my kids are. I often look at them and think how they are even mine! Time has gone so fast its hard to believe. I love being their mom!

Aubree's 2nd Birthday Party!

 

Our little baby girl is now a toddler. Time is flying by so fast lately that it is scary! Aubree's birthday this year was extremely close to my due date so I decided that I would have her birthday party a little early and make it an easy one. I don't know what it is, but these simple backyard party's that I do for the kids most years are always a highlight for me. All the kids (and hopefully adults) had a blast. The kids were as happy as can be and all loved playing on the new playset as well as the sandbox, bikes, and trampoline. It took some convincing to get Aubree away from her cousins to open presents. She was a super happy birthday girl and actually smiled for a few pictures. She had a lot of support from all her favorite people and her Aunt Leslee made her a cute owl cake. She got a lot of fun toys, baby dolls, and clothes (and playset). It was 80 degree's but starting to cool off when the party started so it was just a real nice evening.

 This little girl has been such a blast to raise. She keeps us on our feet and keeps us sharp. She is hilarious and a dare devil, she is self-sufficient and a perfectionist, she is bossy and very caring. She is my perfect little 2 year old and I look forward to sooo many more years. We love you Aubree!

Might as well add in our last pregnant picture together.. I am due in one week, and Leslee has 9 weeks left.

And this is how I found Aubree asleep. She got a new sleep light thing and she fell asleep looking at it.

Aubree at 21 months old

(Feburary 5th-March 5th) At the first of this month Aubree was moved into a toddler bed. I was wanting to keep her in the crib longer because she is a tornado when she is loose, but she had other plans. She kept climbing out of the cribs and playpens. So this month she moved to a toddler bed! She did pretty well surprisingly and is now sleeping well in it.
 She finally got all four of her molars in. The bottom two were really bad and she had a rough time with them. She now has 12 teeth total.  She is continuing her independence and now wont let us help her with anything (which is very time consuming!).  She loves any and all shoes and its a rarity if you see her without some type of shoe on. She is obsessed with juice. She loves to play everywhere she isn't supposed to like the toilet and the fridge. I have found her many times with eggs and egg shells in her mouth. She isn't too picky of an eater but definitely chooses when she wants to eat. She loves her daddy and tends to be a better cuddler with him then anyone else. She has a blast with her big brother and copies everything he does. She is very attached to Korbin (Dabin..is what she calls him). She still is obsessed with Umizoomi and we watch it all the time. She is starting to learn a lot of things, she knows a lot of animals and their sounds, she is starting to know colors like Pink and yellow and blue and she is learning how to count, say her ABC's and sing Twinkle Twinkle little star. She is also obsessed with purses and baby dolls, in fact her toddler bed is full of baby dolls and she has to have all of them in bed with her or she wont sleep. Luckily she will be moving into a bigger bed in a few months and there will be plenty of room for her babies. She is a blast to spend time with and is so goofy, but she definitely keeps us busy.

Aubree at 20 months old

Aubree at 20 months old was quite the handful! She is becoming very independent and doesnt like people to help her with anything. She puts her own shoes on but has been doing that for months, she tries to dress herself and she often puts on Korbins underwear that she steals from his drawer. She is a mini-mommy and is always concerned if someone is hurt or sad and will always help if someone needs help (or try to help). She absolutely loves her baby dolls and loves to give them naps in her bed. She always tells me "sshh.. baby s-eepin". Its cute and a little scary at the same time.. she is going to want to be a big helper once lil sis is here. She loves playing outside and loves getting on bikes, it is still cold outside so she often gets sad because we cant go out and play. She is a little OCD and has to have everything her way, if something is in the wrong spot she will make sure it put away correctly. Her and Korbin are really good friends (most of the time) and have such a blast playing with each other. She is a dare devil and if she see's Korbin do it, she will try it. She loves her fruit snacks as well as ALL candy. Another thing she has just started to become obsessed with is the tv show "Umizoomi." Obsessed is an understatement. I think we watch this show at least 10 times a day. She also has started showing interest in the Ipad now.

This little girl is super silly and such a good helper. We look forward to watching her grow and watching her become a good big sister.
