Busy, busy, busy
So as you can see, we haven't had a lot of time to blog or do other things that I want to get done. Another reason I haven't blogged in a month is because nothing too exciting has happened to us. We have done some fun things like go to the ReAL playoff game on Halloween, we also went to a fun Halloween party that my sister in law throws every year, we have had a lot of fun playing with our nieces and nephews, and we are still playing indoor soccer, which the past year or two has become my favorite sport! I LOVE IT! It helps to have the most supportive husband that will boost you up even when you know you shouldn't have missed that shot! He is so great to play with which makes it fun for everyone!
Student teaching is going well. The kids are crazy, but fun. I have learned so much from this experience that I would never learn from a classroom, so I am glad I get to gain that knowledge. But, I will be even more glad when its over!!!!!!!
And in other news.. The Jazz started last week which Steven and I are extremely excited about! So hopefully we will save our pennies and get to go to a few games this year.
Well Happy November! I cannot believe it is already the end of the year, it freaks me out! But hopefully next year will be as happy as this year has been! I am one lucky girl to have a wonderful husband and family!

One day in 2011!!
Steven applied for the Education program again in Feb. We both didn't make it last semester and I was really sad about it. I found another way around the program and plan to graduate May 2010. Steven has no other way around this then to actually go through the program. Well anyway we got the letter in the mail from the Education Dept and it stated that Steven was accepted! I was sooo soo excited for him, and extremely proud of him! He is such a hard worker in everything he does! So that is a huge relief off our shoulders and now on to the rest of the stress! Hopefully Steven will be able to graduate in May 2011, so a year after me.. so come May of 11, we will be the two happiest people on the planet!! This has been such a long hard road for us. I chose to fail many classes as I was having fun with boys, and Steven chose to go on a mission. So we both got set back a few years. Now we are getting closer and closer to where we want to be and it brings such hope to us! I know it sounds corny but our whole life is at a stand still until we both graduate! It sucks! We are completely and udderly waiting to graduate so we can finally start our life! Now that Steven has got accepted we can continue to look forward to the upcoming semester only because its one semester closer to being done!
On Saturday Steven and I did the annual 5k that we do every year. This is a Goldenwest sponsored 5k where all the money goes towards the schools, so of course Steven's family is always big on this one. If you didn't know.. Steven's family teaches.. we have his grandmother that was a teacher, mother that is a teacher, father that is a principal, brother that is a teacher, and a sister that is a teacher, and as you know.. Steven and I will both be teachers as well! Anyway, back to the story.. So we did the 5k! I dont really like 5k's.. I hate them, I hate running, and I hate exercising! But I always chose to sign up and do it! I think it is more because the 5k makes you do 3.1 miles and you dont want to quit, so you gotta do it! Plus I always enjoy the free shirts! ha ha.. This year was much better then last year because it wasn't so cold! But this year we also came more prepared! Steven is a born runner so he likes to kind of run on his own, and I always get lucky and have someone willing to run/walk with me. This year it was one of my bestest friends and sis in law Rachel. She was such a good sport with me because I am soo out of shape! She kind of let me chose when to walk or run, but she pushed me too. I enjoyed running with her and was glad for her company! So thanks Rache!! Rachel and I ended up running it in 37 mins, and Steven ran it in 21 mins. I was quite proud because I beat my last years time! ha ha, sad I know! But here are some pictures of the wonderful hell I call our 5k!
Well I think this is plenty long for one single blog! I hope to start blogging more frequently as the semester dwindles down and I have more exciting stuff to talk about!!

It's Christmas time.. in the city...
Work is going okay for us.. Steven finally has someone he likes to work with at America First and is excited to start working with him. This makes me happier because then Steven isn't hating work! So thats good! As for me.. its going okay.. its still new, and I hate being new, but over all its good. They are very laid back and let me leave and come when I need. They also work well with my crazy school schedules, so I will not complain.
Well I have had a hard time getting completely into the Christmas spirit, and it really makes me sad!! I look forward to Christmas soo much, and this year I am sick! I am stubborn and didn't go to the doctor until today. I come to find out that not only do I have a bad sinus infection, but now I have bronchitis! Thats great! So I have been sick since Thanksgiving..and now I am going to still be sick for Christmas! Luckily I now have some antibiotics and cough stuff to help me.. So I am really hoping that I will start to feel better! But it does suck to be sick right now! All I wanna do is go hang up my Christmas lights and go see all my friends! So sorry if I am ignoring you.. I don't mean to!
Steven and I are ready for Christmas (as much as we can be!) I think I am done with his Christmas and I am sooo excited to give them to him! I think he will be thrilled with everything! I can not wait!! I am also extremely excited for our annual after Christmas vacation! Its going to be a blast! I get to see Casandra, Dan, Dalin, and Braden! I am also excited for this weekend because we are going to see the Temple lights and also stay in a condo across from the Conference Center! We are gonna play games, and eat all night! Wahoo!! Megan's friend from Iowa is coming to join us. So that will be fun!
Well I wont bore you anymore! I will blog again this week with some pictures of Brianne and Carl's wedding last sat (our cousin). Hope everyone is doing well and having a good Christmas season!

Two depressed little monkeys!
First of all.. I dont know why teachers think that we have all the time in the world to just spend 5,6, or 7 hours a night on just their class.. cause you think about it and that would be at least 25 hours of homework in one day.. which obviously doesn't add up to just one day. So you can see how we are a little overwhelmed. My classes have gone okay up until this month.. let me just list what I had/or still have due this month..
1- 10 hour observation in an elementary
2- Two 2 hour observations in an elementary, plus 2 observation papers on those observations
3- Teaching 2 hours in an elementary about Dance Movement
4- Teaching 2 times in class about Dance movement
5- Research Project number one
6- Research project number two (each 20 min presentations)
7- Research Project number three (has to be 13 pages long.. not kidding!!)
8- Prepare lesson plans (Note.. Im not even in the Education program yet!!)
9- write a paper about my class teaching
10- And last but not least.. MY FINALS!!!!!!
Now I could go on about how much more I have, but I just thought I would list the MAJOR things due this month. I am getting so overwhelmed that I am about ready to pull my hair out! Anybody have a free wig?!
My new job stresses me out also.. I hate hate hate hate hate being new anywhere.. I like to know what I am doing, why I am doing it, and when I should do it. And now I dont know any of that. I hate bugging my supervisor about things I dont know, luckily she is very nice and seems to not mind helping me. I feel stupid a lot of the time because I dont know how to do it! It seems like I will like it and prob enjoy it a lot more then my last position, but it is hard to say at this moment.
And of course all the little things around the house that keep piling up more and more because I don't have time for it. So sorry people, but my house is a mess.. and my laundry hasn't been folded ALL semester!
I feel like some of my friends are taking steps forward and doing new things and moving on with their lives and I am just sitting still.. doing the same stuff.. and its kind of a little sad. I wish I was done with school so I could have a life and be able to buy a house and have babies! But unfortunately I need to wait for another 2 years, hopefully not longer!
So that is my sad sad life right now.. and me being depressed because I have convinced myself that I am deprived (which Im not!).. so sorry you had to read through that.. but I am slowly starting to feel better! I can not wait until the first of December!!
Hope everyone is doing well and staying away from the flu season yuckies!

Thanks for all the support! We always appreciate it!

Long long weeks.. Never Ending..
Things have been a little crappy for the Rounds family this past week.. Randy (Steven's Dad) has been really sick and got us pretty scared. Last Tuesday he went to the hospital because he was in some major pain, they sent him home saying it was Ulcers, so they didnt give him any drugs because the drugs would irritate the Ulcer. By Thursday night he was in so much pain that he went to the hospital again.. then the found the blood clots. So they kept him in the hospital all weekend watching the clots because they were waiting for the blood clots to break up. They were also doing tests to find out why he is getting them. Well of course they cant figure out why, so there are no answers there.. And thank goodness he is doing well enough that he came home on Monday and he was up and about a little bit tonight, he even made it to Steven and Ryan's basketball game. So we are extremely grateful that he is doing good and that he is alright! We don't like scares like that!!
Next Monday and Tuesday are our interviews to get into the Education Program. Im pretty scared about it and am just hoping and praying and crossing my fingers that we make it! I can't help but think that I dont have much chance because of my low GPA. They like you to have a 3.0 to get in, but they do accept people with lower GPA's.. so we are both going to try and hope that by some freek thing, that we get accepted! But like I said.. I dont expect to get in this time.. I hope to, but I dont expect it. I just figured it was worth a shot either way! Steven has a pretty good shot, he has a higher GPA and seems to do a lot better in interviews.. so Im hoping he does awesome and gets in!
I am completely loving this weather!! Awesome! I love the whole hoodie and blanket weather! I love laying in bed cuddling, and watching tv or a movie.. and oddly enough, I am starting to actually enjoy drinking hot chocolate! So I'm pretty excited that the temp. has cooled down a little bit!
My brother and Sis-in law are expecting their second child! I was hoping today that they would find out if its a boy or girl, but they were unable to tell! Dang! She is due March 14.. so still quite a ways away! But we are quite excited to have another lil Ryker around! I'm thinking it will probably be a little boy, but I will be quite excited for either one!
Well I think thats about it! I will try to have some better, more exciting stuff to tell ya next time!

Football Season!!

Oh how excited we are for football season to finally start!!! If you know me.. you know I am a HUGE football fan, especially the Indianapolis Colts!! I have jerseys, authentic autographed football, calendars, plaques, beanies, earrings, watch, bowling ball, car seats, steering wheel covers, floor mats, blankets, and Im sure some other things that I cant think of.. so I am pretty crazy about the Colts!! And Steven is a Huge fan of the Buffalo Bills!!! (which is what we are watching right now!) We are working on getting him hooked up on some football stuff as well.. but he isn't as spoiled as I am.. So we are thrilled for football to have finally started!! Now we feel like we have something to look forward to! It is so fun to watch!! We have some football leagues going on as well! We have a fantasy football league that I made up.. and its basically our families playing against each other.. so thats way fun! And Steven is playing in another fantasy football league with his friends and also has a pick-em game with some family and friends. So we spend plenty of time watching games!
We have a huge variety of team likeness in our families.. my family is big on the 49ers.. My sis Megan likes the Patriots.. and I like the Colts.. Steven's family.. Ryan likes the Bears.. His dad likes the Steelers.. Rachel likes the Lions.. Steven likes the Bills.. and well Leslee hasn't seemed to pick a team yet! What a slacker! So that is our football life! We also enjoy going to Weber State football games.. only because its free! ha ha.. but its fun to be in that atmosphere.
Besides football Steven and I are just working on getting through this semester. We seem to be doing okay.. still caught up on our homework and doing good with that. Work isnt too bad for me.. I am waking up an hour earlier to get my hours in at work, but I almost seem to like going in when there is no one around. With Steven's work, he is working 6 days a week.. which sucks pretty bad! We dont have much time for anything, but then again.. it helps us save money for school, and our trips we wanna take next year. But I am pretty excited to be taking classes for my major, and seems to be more interesting!
Im still waiting for dear Brittany to send me my birthday pictures, so hopefully I will post them soon!
GO COLTS!!!!!!!!!!

My Birthday!
My birthday was really really nice! I think I have had like 5 mini parties and one more to come! I know, I am spoiled!! I ended up getting two parties at work, which was fun for me!! Two cakes and two cards! wahoo!! So I will post a picture of one of the cakes when Brittany sends me the picture! It was really cute! And at home.. of course we celebrate it on both sides.. So we had mine and my moms last sunday at my parents house, and this sunday will be for my birthday at Steven's parents. Oh and the sunday before that was for Steven's mom's. The birthdays go as follows.. Sylvia (Steven's Mom) Aug 20.. Alyson (my Mom) Aug 21... And ME! Aug 24! So as you can see.. it gets a little crazy! I also got to go to my favorite restaurant (Champi's Sports Grill) last Saturday and it was delicious! My whole family came and it was really nice! This Saturday I am going with Steven and my mom to Park City to go spend my birthday money!! I am way excited!! :) I always come back with cool stuff!
So I just wanted to say thanks for all the Birthday wishes and birthday presents from everyone! I love it all!! Thanks Thanks Thanks!!
Okay.. enough about my great birthday.. on to other things that aren't so exciting! School....... Ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How is it possible that I am already burned out and school started 4 days ago?! I am stressing.. tired.. exhausted.. confused.. worried.. rushed.. and everything else that goes along with school.. Already! Oh man.. Im screwed! So I just sat here at my desk and figured out how long it will take me to get through the Education Program. Ok.. so if I take classes during next summer and the summer after that.. I will be done in Fall of 2010. But that is like serious business.. no breaks. Oh and I figured out exactly how many classes you have to take for the program and it is 97 credit hours. No joke! Thats crap! So anyway.. Steven and I are handing in our applications on the 12th of September and hopefully get into the program in January! Steven's program is a lot shorter then mine!! Like A LOT shorter! I dont really understand why.. but oh well! For those of you who dont know.. he is going into Secondary Education and coaching. So yeah.. school sucks.. Im stressin.. and it dosent help that in two of my classes we already have to go to schools and teach.. WHAT?! IM NOT EVEN IN THE PROGRAM!! I dont know how I am ever going to find time to go do that.. and sadly this semester will be the easiest as for the program.. so Im freeking out a little bit!
Steven and I started a little account for when we are both student teaching.. so a certain amount goes in it each paycheck. So by the time we are student teaching, we are hoping that we wont have to work (its almost impossible to work and student teach)... so we have decided that is the best bet right now. We are trying to plan for the future... and all I want to do is get through the program because I want to have babies! So everyone cross their fingers for us that it works out good..

The best month of the year!! Happy August!
Our annual Bear Lake camping trip is next friday (15th) which I am extremely excited about!! If anyone wants to come up and stay a night you are more then welcome.. just let me know and Ill give you the info! Anyway.. So we do this annual camping trip.. it started out that I wanted to do a last hurrah before my sister left for 2 years to grad school.. so I invited my family and Steven's family. The first year wasn't the greatest.. but last year it was a blast!! Everything went well, everyone got along and we just had a nice, fun, relaxing time. So Im pretty excited for this years. I am usually the one to plan this, and it always seems like I am the one to plan anything fun, but I guess I figure if I dont plan it, then we wont do anything fun ever.. so I would rather plan and have fun, then not plan and not have fun.. Right?! Im pretty bummed that Ryan and Rachel dont get to come this year.. I was really looking forward to having them there! But I guess I dont always get everything I want! lol.. We are all pretty excited because Casandra and Dan are coming down for the trip.. and we havent seen them in quite awhile! So that will be fun! I will definitely have some pictures to post when we get back!
This week is also the Weber County Fair. Im pretty excited about it for a few simple reasons.. well I work for the County so I get a choice to work the fair or not.. so of course I jumped right on that! I get to work there getting free pop and food instead of working in the office getting nothing free.. so that will be nice! I am working 3 shifts.. so I will be working a few extra hours which will give me the hours I need off for Bear Lake! Wahoo!! I dont have to take any vacation time off, and Im definitely happy about that! So I got my wonderful "deja Moo" shirt lol.. and I will be wearing that bright neon shirt all week! But at least Ill be getting a tan! Oh and the other cool thing is that Ill be working with my bestest buddy Brittany so we totally get to chat ALL DAY!! Which is the total opposite at work. We usually get in trouble if we even look in each others direction! lol.. so that will be fun!
Our garden seems to be doing pretty good.. I think! We are getting lots and lots of tomatoes.. they are even getting red! Wahoo! We are finally getting some tiny little cucumbers! I am soo excited!! It looks like we will only be getting one pepper this year! So that kind of sucks.. and everything else is just kind of growing.. I dont expect much of anything.. but its our first garden so even growing something is pretty good!
So that's my week in a jiffy.. I will hopefully be posting some pictures soon!

100 lbs lifted off my shoulders!
Well the past week has been really nice! I got to go to my nephew Ryker and niece Kyla's birthday parties.. they were fun and it was nice to see the families. Steven and I got to go to the Drive In Friday night.. I was totally excited! We put the cuddle bag in the back of the truck and we were on our way! It was nice and comfy! Hopefully we will go to a few more before the summer is over! On Sunday we went to the pops.. it was really nice and relaxing! We just drove our scooter right up and sat in the shady soccer field.. I have a few pictures so maybe Ill post them tomorrow. My mom and dad and sister came. And then my In-laws came over and joined us.. so it was fun! We played a few games, ate snacks, and watched fireworks!
And now its Monday.. Monday's truly are the worst day of the week! But its almost over and the week should fly by! I checked on my garden today.. as of today I have 19 tomatoes.. not bad, but not good.. and only one poor little pepper.. it doesn't seem to be getting any bigger. My cucumber plants are doing pretty well.. they are growing and growing! Everything else is just kinda there.. Maybe I don't have a green thumb after all! Oh well! It's fun to do anyway!
Well last Tuesday one of the Bishopric came over and informed us that we had to speak on Sunday.. so I basically just ignored that fact until Saturday night. Steven wouldn't write my talk so I had to do it all by myself! Sad.. and sadly enough.. my talk lasted prob 8 mins.. lol. that will show Steven to write my talk next time! But he did good and filled up the rest of the time for us. All I know is that I'm glad its over! Woh.. I really don't like speaking!
Well this week BATMAN comes out!! Oh man are we are excited!!!!!!! I think I will just go buy our movie tickets in the next day or two.. so if anyone wants to come with us Friday night, let me know and Ill get ya some tickets! Well I think that is about it! Hopefully I will have a few pictures to post tomorrow.

Happy July! I love Summer!
Well this past week was a lot of fun! We spent a lot of time with our families and it was nice. On thursday night we got to go to the ReAl SLC soccer game, we went with my parents, Megan, and Rachel (who you see in the picture above). We had tons of fun and after the game we got to go down on the field and watch the fireworks! I was so excited! It was so cool to go down on the field and see what the players see! On friday (4th of July) my family went down to Megan's place in Orem. It was my first time seeing her new place and it was really nice! Then we headed to the Stadium of Fire! The video was taken from that (if it works!) It was pretty awesome! Miley Cyrus sucked and there was soo many little girls screaming and so excited that she was there.. all I know is that I was sure excited when Miley was done! Oh and the blueman group was there and it was awesome! I want to go see them in a full concert one day! But the fireworks were AMAZING!! It went on for probably an hour and it was a nonstop finale! Crazy! Saturday I got to spend the day with my mom, grandma, and sister in Orem. We went to the mall and ate at Noodles and Company (delicious!) and then I came home, went swimming in the pool, then went to Wise guys! So we had a packed weekend! Also on Sunday we went to a family friends house (our cruisin buddies) and saw their new baby fainting goats. They were soo cute!! We also had a bbq and got to play lots of fun games! We all had a blast! And now its Monday and things are slowly settling down again, unfortunately! We dont have much planned for this week, we wanna try to hit a drive in, but we will see! And of course we will be partying for Ryker's 2nd Birthday! Yeah!!
Our garden is doing okay.. I keep thinking that its doing really well.. but then I see other people's garden and it makes me a lil sad! But the good news is that I do have about 12 tomatoes now! Yeah!! My Cucumber plants are looking pretty good, they are getting pretty big, Im way excited about those! And of course the watermelon and cantelope are in question if they will even attempt to grow anything.. so we are just keeping our fingers crossed!
We finally got our back porch cemented.. it only took a year and a half! But it is nice! We are still waiting on our CAAP test results and Steven and I are both convinced that we didnt pass all of it.. but I am going to keep my fingers crossed that we did pass it! Oh, that would be such a huge relief! So we will prob find out next week sometime! Well.. thats it for now! I hope I didnt bore you too much!

New Layout!
It is finally Friday!! Thank goodness! This week has been okay, it has been kind of a relaxing, chill week. Steven is still at home trying to get better. These past couple days have been the worst and its not seeming to get too much better right now. He doesnt like that very much and I think he is just sick of laying around. Thank goodness for his mom! She has stopped by while I have been working and have been getting him Jamba Juices and keeping him company! I think that it cheers him up a little bit. So that's a start. But I would say he is about the same as he was tues, wed, and thurs. So cross your fingers that this is the last bad day!!
Our garden is doing good! I am soo excited to have our first garden doing so well! This hot weather made it sprout! We now have little sprouts for all of our seeds. We started little this year with the tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, cantaloupe, and watermelon. So hopefully we get some stuff and will want to do it next year! As of today, we now have little watermelon sprouts!
Our test is tomorrow morning for 4 hours.. we are not excited and I just wish it was done and over with. The even crappier thing is that we wont even know if we passed for about 4 weeks! blah! I dont do good with waiting! Im worried about Steven taking the test because he is still on some major drugs and I am not sure if he will be able to concentrate all the way, but it was the only day to take it until September.
Well that's about it for today!

Day 7 of Steven's Recovery
Other then that, not much has been going on.. our garden is slowly but surely growing. I was extremely excited to see that I had some sprouts yesterday from my lil cucumber seeds! Yeah!! Our cantelope plants aren't doing as well.. but now that we decided to start watering them (lol) they are doing A LOT better! We only have one pepper growing, but its getting pretty big! Our tomatoes are slowly getting bigger and we are finally getting some flowers, which is very good news!! So hopefully we will be getting some lil tomatoes in the next little while. And sadly our watermelon seeds haven't shown any signs of improvement. But there is still hope!!
My nursery calling has been nice. I have only been once since it was stake conference, but it was a lot of fun. It seems like there might be almost too many workers in there. There is about 10-15 kids and there was 6 workers.. Im not sure how many actually are called into the nursery and how many are just coming in to help, but Im sure Ill find out soon enough. But it is lots of fun!
Oh and Steven and my CAAP test is Saturday morning for FOUR HOURS!! Ahhh!! Its like the ACT all over again!! I am sooooo not excited!! Im sure Steven isn't either. For those of you that dont know what the CAAP test is.. its the general test that you have to take to get into the Teaching program. You have to pass Reading, Math, Essay, and one more I cant remember. If you pass then you are one step closer to getting into the program.. if not.. then you have to retake the area's that you didnt pass. I am pretty scared about it because well I just dont do well on any type of tests!! I hope that we both pass it!! So cross your fingers! If we pass it then we will aim for applying and interviews around September-ish, then if all goes well Steven and I will both be in the program in January of 09!
Well I think I have talked long enough! I hope I didn't bore you too much!

Finally June!
Anyway! I got a calling in my ward now and I am pretty dang excited about it. At first I was kind of a little bummed because I was first called to be in the Primary 8 year olds, but the Primary leaders came over to give me my lesson book and they informed me that they have moved me to NURSERY!!! I am soo excited! I was in nursery in my home ward before I got married and I LOVED it!! So I start in two weeks and I couldn't be happier! Steven also got a calling, he isn't quite as happy as I am. He is going to be an Elder Quorum teacher. It kinda sucks that he didn't get another calling because now he has to go to Sunday school all alone every week. Of course there is always Grampa Dan! lol.
Well Steven is not excited for his surgery thursday! He is slowly getting more sad and grumpy each day.. I feel bad because my lil Stevie has to go through this, but I will be thrilled when its over!! I hope it all goes well with no problems! I will be reading "The Host" while I take care of him.. the book has been sitting on my table staring at me for a week now and all I wanna do is read it!
My sis Megan is moving her stuff to Orem. She found a condo that she is going to rent and she seems pretty excited about it. I haven't seen it, but hopefully I will soon! She has started some camps and stuff to make some money and will start working for Utah Valley University on monday. So Im glad things are working out for her! Yeah!!
Steven and I are planning to take our CAAP test for the program on June 21st.. I am scared to death! I just want to pass it and get that part off my shoulders, I think Steven feels the same way! So wish us luck!!
I think that's about it! I will update you on Steven's surgery on thursday!
