Casidy Blair Rounds

I am happy to report that our little Casidy finally made it into this world! I had my induction set for May 10th at 7am, 5:30am rolls around and I get a call from the hospital saying that they will have to hold me off for a few hours because they got so many people come in the night before.. I was pretty depressed and I waited for them to call me back. At 9:30am (still no call) I decided to call them back..and boy am I glad I did because I was able to go in at 10:30am. I am not sure I would have made it in that soon if I didn't call. At 11:30am they started the Pitocin and we were on our way to see our little girl.  Not much happened until my doctor came in at 2pm and broke my water.. after that it was major contractions and time for an epidural.. ASAP! I got lucky and the doctor came right in to give me the epidural, after that it was much better. At 4:30pm I was dilated to a 10 and she was ready to come to this world.. of course we had to wait for my doctor to come! At 4:56pm with two pushes, Casidy was born! She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long and had dark hair. We were so excited to finally meet our little girl and I was very excited to be done with the pregnancy. The labor went really well and we had some great nurses while we were there. Of course we had plenty of family come visit which is always nice and we also had time to ourselves. Steven went home that night so our other two kids could sleep at home.. they seemed to have a harder time sleeping when we weren't there. I got a good amount of sleep that night and was able to rest all of Sunday. We left the hospital right before 6pm on the 11th (Mother's Day).
So far our little Casidy has been a great baby! She rarely cries and is an excellent sleeper. I often try to keep her up so she is more tired at night but she just wants to sleep all the time. She is a good eater and at her doctor's apt this past week she had only lost 5 oz, which according to the doctor the average for her weight would have been 8 oz to 13 oz.. so she was doing well.
She finally lost her umbilical cord last night and we are excited to give her a real bath. As for sleeping at night, we are at night #3 where she has slept from 11:30pm-4:30am, and 5am-10am... so I am a pretty happy mom with a good amount of sleep.
Steven goes back to work tomorrow and I am dreading the fact that I wont have him here to help me during the day. I think the kids will have a hard time adjusting as well because he has been around for 10 days straight.
This picture makes me laugh.. Casidy is already wondering what she got herself into! haha
All bundled up and ready to go home!

Bye bye Pregnancy!

So I have been trying to look back at my other pregnancy pictures to compare myself with each one but for some reason I can't find any of my pregnancy pictures with Korbin. This is one of the only set of pictures I could find that was similar in pregnancy weeks and of course I thought it was fun to see my sister in laws and myself with each pregnancy.
Anyway.. today is the last day I will be pregnant and I am excited to be done. I have tried to take it all in knowing that I wont experience this again. This pregnancy has really treated me well. I had a few rough patches at random weeks like my nerve pain around 27 weeks and some major back pain here and there but really not too much to complain about. This pregnancy I was sick the least and I would say the middle trimester was also the best, sometimes I would forget I was pregnant except for the little pooch I had. This third trimester has had its ups and downs but mainly decent. My sleeping has been the worst this pregnancy, with my other two I never had a sleeping problem but with this pregnancy it takes me a good 1 hr or more to fall asleep because I cant seem to get comfortable and if I wake up in the middle of the night it will take me another hour after that to fall back asleep. I also never could sleep in (not that I really have the chance anyway). I haven't had any swelling that I have noticed, in fact I managed to wear my wedding ring the whole pregnancy..something I couldn't do with the other two. I have gained more weight with this baby but it hasn't been that much more. My rib pain is the same as with the other two babies. This baby constantly has hiccups.. like all the time! My other two kids had hiccups, but nothing compared to this little one. Last appt my doctor predicted the baby would be around 8lbs which is exactly what she said about Aubree, so we will see! My cravings have been similar this time.. watermelon, smoothies, shakes, fruit, chocolate, sour gummies, and cereal.
So that is my pregnancy in a glance. I am very excited to not only be done with the pregnancy but to meet our little girl! We haven't had any good pictures of her so we have no idea what she is going to look like. Here is to hoping it all goes well and my next blog is pictures of our adorable chunker Casidy!

Aubree's 2nd Birthday Party!

Our little baby girl is now a toddler. Time is flying by so fast lately that it is scary! Aubree's birthday this year was extremely close to my due date so I decided that I would have her birthday party a little early and make it an easy one. I don't know what it is, but these simple backyard party's that I do for the kids most years are always a highlight for me. All the kids (and hopefully adults) had a blast. The kids were as happy as can be and all loved playing on the new playset as well as the sandbox, bikes, and trampoline. It took some convincing to get Aubree away from her cousins to open presents. She was a super happy birthday girl and actually smiled for a few pictures. She had a lot of support from all her favorite people and her Aunt Leslee made her a cute owl cake. She got a lot of fun toys, baby dolls, and clothes (and playset). It was 80 degree's but starting to cool off when the party started so it was just a real nice evening.
This little girl has been such a blast to raise. She keeps us on our feet and keeps us sharp. She is hilarious and a dare devil, she is self-sufficient and a perfectionist, she is bossy and very caring. She is my perfect little 2 year old and I look forward to sooo many more years. We love you Aubree!

And this is how I found Aubree asleep. She got a new sleep light thing and she fell asleep looking at it.
