Casidy Blair Rounds

I am happy to report that our little Casidy finally made it into this world! I had my induction set for May 10th at 7am, 5:30am rolls around and I get a call from the hospital saying that they will have to hold me off for a few hours because they got so many people come in the night before.. I was pretty depressed and I waited for them to call me back. At 9:30am (still no call) I decided to call them back..and boy am I glad I did because I was able to go in at 10:30am. I am not sure I would have made it in that soon if I didn't call. At 11:30am they started the Pitocin and we were on our way to see our little girl.  Not much happened until my doctor came in at 2pm and broke my water.. after that it was major contractions and time for an epidural.. ASAP! I got lucky and the doctor came right in to give me the epidural, after that it was much better. At 4:30pm I was dilated to a 10 and she was ready to come to this world.. of course we had to wait for my doctor to come! At 4:56pm with two pushes, Casidy was born! She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long and had dark hair. We were so excited to finally meet our little girl and I was very excited to be done with the pregnancy. The labor went really well and we had some great nurses while we were there. Of course we had plenty of family come visit which is always nice and we also had time to ourselves. Steven went home that night so our other two kids could sleep at home.. they seemed to have a harder time sleeping when we weren't there. I got a good amount of sleep that night and was able to rest all of Sunday. We left the hospital right before 6pm on the 11th (Mother's Day).
So far our little Casidy has been a great baby! She rarely cries and is an excellent sleeper. I often try to keep her up so she is more tired at night but she just wants to sleep all the time. She is a good eater and at her doctor's apt this past week she had only lost 5 oz, which according to the doctor the average for her weight would have been 8 oz to 13 oz.. so she was doing well.
She finally lost her umbilical cord last night and we are excited to give her a real bath. As for sleeping at night, we are at night #3 where she has slept from 11:30pm-4:30am, and 5am-10am... so I am a pretty happy mom with a good amount of sleep.
Steven goes back to work tomorrow and I am dreading the fact that I wont have him here to help me during the day. I think the kids will have a hard time adjusting as well because he has been around for 10 days straight.

This picture makes me laugh.. Casidy is already wondering what she got herself into! haha
All bundled up and ready to go home!

Bye bye Pregnancy!

So I have been trying to look back at my other pregnancy pictures to compare myself with each one but for some reason I can't find any of my pregnancy pictures with Korbin. This is one of the only set of pictures I could find that was similar in pregnancy weeks and of course I thought it was fun to see my sister in laws and myself with each pregnancy.
Anyway.. today is the last day I will be pregnant and I am excited to be done. I have tried to take it all in knowing that I wont experience this again. This pregnancy has really treated me well. I had a few rough patches at random weeks like my nerve pain around 27 weeks and some major back pain here and there but really not too much to complain about. This pregnancy I was sick the least and I would say the middle trimester was also the best, sometimes I would forget I was pregnant except for the little pooch I had. This third trimester has had its ups and downs but mainly decent. My sleeping has been the worst this pregnancy, with my other two I never had a sleeping problem but with this pregnancy it takes me a good 1 hr or more to fall asleep because I cant seem to get comfortable and if I wake up in the middle of the night it will take me another hour after that to fall back asleep. I also never could sleep in (not that I really have the chance anyway). I haven't had any swelling that I have noticed, in fact I managed to wear my wedding ring the whole pregnancy..something I couldn't do with the other two. I have gained more weight with this baby but it hasn't been that much more. My rib pain is the same as with the other two babies. This baby constantly has hiccups.. like all the time! My other two kids had hiccups, but nothing compared to this little one. Last appt my doctor predicted the baby would be around 8lbs which is exactly what she said about Aubree, so we will see! My cravings have been similar this time.. watermelon, smoothies, shakes, fruit, chocolate, sour gummies, and cereal.
So that is my pregnancy in a glance. I am very excited to not only be done with the pregnancy but to meet our little girl! We haven't had any good pictures of her so we have no idea what she is going to look like. Here is to hoping it all goes well and my next blog is pictures of our adorable chunker Casidy!

30 weeks pregnant

I haven't blogged about this pregnancy yet so I thought I better before its done! So as of this week I am 30 weeks pregnant which is fantastic! It has definitely flown by so far, of course its these last 10 weeks that always seem to drag.
My pregnancy has been going well, the first few months was a killer as always. I was extremely tired and sick but I didn't get near as sick as I did with the other two. I think this time I only threw up twice which is a huge difference for me! After I got over the first trimester it was really nice, I didn't have many symptoms besides a growing belly. We found out what we were having in the middle of December and announced it to everyone on Christmas. Both Steven and I were almost positive it was a boy, even before we got pregnant I felt like we were going to have another boy, so it was a little bit of an adjustment for us when we found out we were having a little girl.
I was able to go on a cruise when I was 18 weeks pregnant and that was quite a change from the cruises I am used to. I absolutely LOVED the cruise and it was pretty great to have any food I wanted at any time and not have to worry about cleaning up after yourself, but it was a little difficult because I still had less energy and still felt a little sick and I wasn't able to do much off the boat like excursions.
Our targeted ultrasound was fun and the kids came to that. They love coming to the doctor to see the baby and this one was even better because they got to see a lot of pictures of her. We got a few decent shots of her and I decided she looks just like Aubree. Everything was good at the apt and the baby was slightly above average in weight (no surprise).
The past 3 weeks or so I have been having the famous lower back pain and just this past week I have had major pain on my right side of my body. I had my sister look at it and she thought I had Piriformis syndrome which is when your sciatic nerve is compressed that causes pain and numbness down one side and leg. So I have been dealing with that recently and hoping that somehow it goes away sooner then 10 weeks! My previous pregnancies I have carried the babies a lot higher and they always seem to kick my ribs like crazy and I am convinced my ribs are broken.. this pregnancy she is already head down and quite far down then what I am used to.. so its quite the change and I think I would chose the ribs over this any day.
My last apt went well, she measured about 3 pounds (29 weeks) and I will start going every two weeks now. The doctor thinks she is average weight at the moment.. but I am pretty sure that is what she has thought with the other two as well. So far no talk on having this baby any earlier then a week which would put me at May 8th, but we will see how my pain is and such as the weeks go on.
I am excited to have this little one in our lives and finally feel like our family is complete. I look forward to the future with the kids as they grow and play and learn. We are also excited to finally have our whole house to ourselves and let the kids have their own rooms.
As for the pregnancy, things are going well. We have decided to name her Casidy Blair Rounds. Blair is a family name from my dads side, it was actually my grandmothers maiden name, I thought it was a cute girl name and I also wanted to get my dads side of the name in our family somewhere so it is going to work perfectly.
Hopefully the rest of the pregnancy goes smoothly and fast! I am wanting to do some comparison pictures of each of my pregnancies and post them on here so keep your eye open for that!

Thanks for coming to our blog! We hope you enjoy reading about our life and please leave a comment so we know you stopped by!!
