Korbin's 4th birthday!

Our little boy is now 4! Where has the time gone!? Korb had a fantastic 3rd year which consisted of going on his first and second plane rides, meeting family in Illinois, going on a "big boat", swimming in the ocean for the first time as well as play on the beach, got another little sister, and got his own room. He is such a sweet boy that doesn't like to let anyone down, especially his mom and dad. He has a heart of gold. He is our funny boy who has the same personality as his daddy. He loves to play on his own with cars, but he also loves to have friends play with him as well. He loves kicking the soccer ball around the house. He is a great napper still and takes up to 5 hr naps. He is smart with electronics and loves to play his Lego and racing games. He is a great big brother and an amazing son. We love this kid so much!
His birthday started out going to the airport to pick up Daddy (he had a work trip). Then we got to go to City Creek and eat/play on the toys. He got to pick out a toy at the Disney Store. His family and friends all came to celebrate with us in our backyard. He had a great time and wanted his friends to stay all night. He loved all his presents and got super spoiled!

Casidy @ 2 months

Stats- Weight: 11.13lbs (75%)
         Height: 23.5 in (90%)
         Head:15 in (30%)

At Casidy's two month appointment we found out that she doesn't have a blood blister on her lip, it is actually a hemangioma, which would explain why it would never go away and kept getting bigger. Our doctor wanted us to see a specialist to figure out what we can do to fix it, we will update you more on that later.
Casidy is continuing her excellent sleeping. She has slept in until 9am some mornings.. so from about 10:30pm until 9am.. quite a good sleeper! Her normal is 10:30pm until 6:30am which I can't complain about. She still sleeps all the time and I would say she is maybe up 5 hrs total throughout the day. She hates her swing and hasn't decided how she feels about binkies yet. We stopped wrapping her arms in the blanket this month so she has a little more freedom. She can coo and its adorable. She is now in 3 month clothing and still eats 4 oz every 3ish hours. She takes a good 30 mins to eat, she is never in a huge hurry to eat. She doesn't love her car seat but she does fall asleep in it most of the time. She has also started to somewhat enjoy baths, except for when I scrub her scalp. She has gone on many walks with the family and a bunch of lunch dates with Grandma Shaw. She is still a happy, easy going baby and we love her!!

Casidy's 1st month

Our precious little Casidy is such a wonderful baby! She is adjusting well to this world and all her crazy family members. She is a great sleeper and is always sleeping the day away. At the second week of life she was sleeping until 6am. From then on she is inconsistent but still a good sleeper. Some nights its 4:30am and some nights its 6:30am. She switched to formula after 4 weeks and seems to be gaining weight a lot better. We started noticing a blood blister on her lip after the first week and it just keeps getting bigger. She got a chance to wear newborn clothes, something we haven't experienced before because our other kids were chunks. She wore newborn clothes for the first month and then she was outgrowing them (length wise). She will take a binkie but hasn't mastered keeping it in herself. We have managed to get the kids to sleep all at the same time so we have been able to get an hour or two of peace and quiet each day. Casidy is our chill little runt and we look forward to her future!

Casidy Blair Rounds

I am happy to report that our little Casidy finally made it into this world! I had my induction set for May 10th at 7am, 5:30am rolls around and I get a call from the hospital saying that they will have to hold me off for a few hours because they got so many people come in the night before.. I was pretty depressed and I waited for them to call me back. At 9:30am (still no call) I decided to call them back..and boy am I glad I did because I was able to go in at 10:30am. I am not sure I would have made it in that soon if I didn't call. At 11:30am they started the Pitocin and we were on our way to see our little girl.  Not much happened until my doctor came in at 2pm and broke my water.. after that it was major contractions and time for an epidural.. ASAP! I got lucky and the doctor came right in to give me the epidural, after that it was much better. At 4:30pm I was dilated to a 10 and she was ready to come to this world.. of course we had to wait for my doctor to come! At 4:56pm with two pushes, Casidy was born! She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and 21 inches long and had dark hair. We were so excited to finally meet our little girl and I was very excited to be done with the pregnancy. The labor went really well and we had some great nurses while we were there. Of course we had plenty of family come visit which is always nice and we also had time to ourselves. Steven went home that night so our other two kids could sleep at home.. they seemed to have a harder time sleeping when we weren't there. I got a good amount of sleep that night and was able to rest all of Sunday. We left the hospital right before 6pm on the 11th (Mother's Day).
So far our little Casidy has been a great baby! She rarely cries and is an excellent sleeper. I often try to keep her up so she is more tired at night but she just wants to sleep all the time. She is a good eater and at her doctor's apt this past week she had only lost 5 oz, which according to the doctor the average for her weight would have been 8 oz to 13 oz.. so she was doing well.
She finally lost her umbilical cord last night and we are excited to give her a real bath. As for sleeping at night, we are at night #3 where she has slept from 11:30pm-4:30am, and 5am-10am... so I am a pretty happy mom with a good amount of sleep.
Steven goes back to work tomorrow and I am dreading the fact that I wont have him here to help me during the day. I think the kids will have a hard time adjusting as well because he has been around for 10 days straight.

This picture makes me laugh.. Casidy is already wondering what she got herself into! haha
All bundled up and ready to go home!

Bye bye Pregnancy!

So I have been trying to look back at my other pregnancy pictures to compare myself with each one but for some reason I can't find any of my pregnancy pictures with Korbin. This is one of the only set of pictures I could find that was similar in pregnancy weeks and of course I thought it was fun to see my sister in laws and myself with each pregnancy.
Anyway.. today is the last day I will be pregnant and I am excited to be done. I have tried to take it all in knowing that I wont experience this again. This pregnancy has really treated me well. I had a few rough patches at random weeks like my nerve pain around 27 weeks and some major back pain here and there but really not too much to complain about. This pregnancy I was sick the least and I would say the middle trimester was also the best, sometimes I would forget I was pregnant except for the little pooch I had. This third trimester has had its ups and downs but mainly decent. My sleeping has been the worst this pregnancy, with my other two I never had a sleeping problem but with this pregnancy it takes me a good 1 hr or more to fall asleep because I cant seem to get comfortable and if I wake up in the middle of the night it will take me another hour after that to fall back asleep. I also never could sleep in (not that I really have the chance anyway). I haven't had any swelling that I have noticed, in fact I managed to wear my wedding ring the whole pregnancy..something I couldn't do with the other two. I have gained more weight with this baby but it hasn't been that much more. My rib pain is the same as with the other two babies. This baby constantly has hiccups.. like all the time! My other two kids had hiccups, but nothing compared to this little one. Last appt my doctor predicted the baby would be around 8lbs which is exactly what she said about Aubree, so we will see! My cravings have been similar this time.. watermelon, smoothies, shakes, fruit, chocolate, sour gummies, and cereal.
So that is my pregnancy in a glance. I am very excited to not only be done with the pregnancy but to meet our little girl! We haven't had any good pictures of her so we have no idea what she is going to look like. Here is to hoping it all goes well and my next blog is pictures of our adorable chunker Casidy!
