Black Island Farms

A week or so ago we got invited to go to the Black Forrest Farm with Leslee (sister in law) and her kiddos. Of course we jumped on that opportunity because Korb loves everything about farms, pumpkins, tractor rides, slides..and Makayla of course!
So Leslee and I took our kids and headed to the farm. We strapped the babies to us and hoped for the best. Little did I know that it was going to be EXTREMELY HOT that day! Ohh goodness! I did not plan well for that! Anyway, we hopped on the tractor and went on a ride to pick our pumpkins. The driver gave us a little info about farming and let the kids go pick out their own pumpkins. It seemed like that took forever, but that might have been me extremely hot and Aubree ready to be done. After that we were heading to see the animals and we happened to run into Grandma Rounds! Holy craziness! What are the chances of that?! She was there with her class and she was able to come spend time with the kiddos for a few mins before she left. We saw some animals, goats, goose, llamas, cows, chickens. Then the kids got to play on their fun toys. There were these man made slides with hay.. stupid me thought that it would be a simple stairway up to the slide so I volunteered to take Korbin and Makayla down the slide. As I got to the stairs I realized that there wasnt any stairs.. Nope, you had to climb the rope. Hah! That was fun. I finally got them both up there (Leslee was kind enough to watch the babies) I went to grab both their hands and missed Makaylas and left her in the dust at the top of the slide. After that we went to a smaller slide where they could play on their own and of course Korbin did not want to leave so we had quite the fight to go home.
It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be doing that again, hopefully next time we will have the husbands so it wont be as crazy.
Getting ready to go on the tractor

Makayla and Korb showing off their pumpkins! It was really sunny.
Korb picked two out, one for him, and one for Aubree.. he was very proud :)
 Grandma grandma grandma!!
Sitting on the hay with their pumpkins.
Going up the easy version of the rope ladder.
Korbin doing what he does best.. making messes!
He refused to go down the slide, but instead he wanted to throw the hay down the slide.

Thanks Leslee for the invite :)
